The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA),
is an Independent Humanitarian Agency established in 1956 by the
Seventh-Day Adventist Church for the specific purpose of providing
community development and disaster relief. ADRA is a non-profit,
non-government organization.
For decades, ADRA has been working around the globe
helping people overcome poverty, disease, illiteracy and the
suffering that results from natural and manmade
disasters.
ADRA currently
operates in over 125 countries, assisting those in need without
regard to race, ethnicity, gender, political or religious
affiliation. We believe in each individual's potential to reflect
the image of God, the dignity which is inherent in each person, and
the importance of quality in human life. |
